Listing Blurb This text appears on parent categories and certain lists, and allows you to describe the category briefly.
BodyThis appears on the category either above the items list or to the left of them. This is full HTML capable text.
Meta Tag TitleThis appears in the HTML tag for this category.
Enter a few words, similar to your Title.
Meta Tag Description This appears in the HTML tag for this category. It is not visible in the browser; search engines read this value.
Enter a few sentences, similar to your Listing Blurb.
Meta Tag KeywordsThis appears in the HTML tag for this category. It is not visible in the browser; search engines read this value.
Enter a series of words relevant to the content on this page, separated by commas.
Thumbnail ImageThis image appears on the Listing Page for the category.
Heading Title ImageThis image replaces the Title text on the Category page. It is highly recommended that this image include the name of the category in its artwork.
Header Banner ImageThis image will appear above all items in this category and all the sub-category items.
StatusWhen set to Active, allows the category to be viewed. When set to inactive, prevents the category from displaying or being viewed directly.
Sort OrderControls the order in which a category will appear in a list or in the Infobox Menu.
Sub-Category ViewChanges the way we see subcategories. Nested View is the traditional view. Flat View flattens the data, so that you see into the sub-categories from the parent level.
Page Listing ColumnsControls the number of columns of items to display. Included is the option to set the category description to the left of the items listed.
Show Links InControls where you want to display the links for this item. We recommend that categories be displayed in both Infobox Menu and In Listing.
      URL Override

Allows you to set a different URL as the target for the links presented.
Append CD Path: This additional option for Url Override allows you to take an internal link and treat it like it is part of CDS Content. Checking this option is recommended for all internal links that are specific to the category, such as a product URL or specific F.A.Q. URL.
When CD Path is enabled it will have the following effects:

      1. CDS Information menu will show the location of the item of the current CDS category.
      2. Header Banner Image from parent category will be displayed.
      3. Navigation bar will be displayed at the bottom of the page.
Url Override TargetAllows you to set the tag target value. This is useful for outbound links that you want to open in a new window.
Attach ProductAllows you to select a product from the catalog to appear in the upper right of a page. The product is presented on the page with Buy links for immediate add-to-cart functionality.

    2. Example of category placement
      1. When you create a new category it appears in the Aadmin in the category in which you created it.
Take the sub category Small Widgets; it was created in the Product category and you see it listed under Products in the Aadmin.
        overview_category_admin_example_570
      2. It can also appear in the Infobox mMenu and on the listing of the parent category.
Here you see Small Widgets under Products in the catalog infobox menu and also in the main Listing area for Products category.
